MYTHSTOPPERS!!

This Morning on another episode of Mythstoppers we looked at stopping the myth...

"You must wait a half hour after eating before swimming"

The Science: After a meal, there's an increased blood flow to the stomach and intestines to absorb nutrients. This means there's less blood to deliver oxygen and to remove waste products from exercising muscles. therefore causing cramps or stitches...

...so I decided to stuff my face then hit the pool of the Brockville and Area YMCA and this is how it went down...









And the verdict came in this myth has been STOPPED...

The Old wives tale holds no water but look out Michael Phelps... I'm coming for those records with a full belly!!!
