Cut-a-thon!!

Well as most of you know a haircut for me consits simply of firing up the clippers going to town on my head then quickly covering up with a touque! So when the opportunity came up to get a haircut...a REAL haircut I was all over it!!

On Wednesday the Nov. 26th a Cut-a-thon was held at the Frontenac Mall, for a donation to the BOBfm Toy Drive you received a haircut by a student from either SLC or QECVI.

So I took this opportunity to pretty myself up for our work xmas party this Friday...

Michael Marello and Mariah, a Student from QECVI, came down to studio to give me my much needed haircut!!

Thanks sooooooo much to everyone that helped out with the Cut-a-thon in turn helping out the BOB fm toy drive. Together we raised $2001.56!!!!!!!!!!

Quantum of Solace comes out tomorrow and I'm pumped. So pumped, in fact, that I've been writing a series of weekly columns on a website about the 21 that are already out. Ali is pregnant...not!

I’ve been looking for some reasons as to why my taste buds out of whack. I noticed things started to taste yucky on Wednesday night, then everything I have eaten since has tasted a bit strange. I tried to look on Web MD for a diagnoses, but couldn’t find anything that related. Although I found these amusing in the symptom checker they offer “Teeth do not fit like they used to”, “Taste words when they are heard”. With those being humours, they weren’t helpful so I mentioned it on air Friday morning thinking that it might be a symptom of a cold or something, but was shocked to get calls and emails suggesting that it may be a symptom of pregnancy!!!!!!!!!!

If there is one thing my friends and family know about me, it’s that I have never had the desire to become a mother, ever. So this news was shocking, especially when you include the prediction from the Kingston Physic Marilyn Shannon that I would be pregnant within in the year. To make a long story short, Lock convinced me to do a test on air Monday morning – which I did and it turned out negative!!!

I was relieved and excited, but the question still remains why does food taste strange to me now?

ACDC at work!!

This came up in our music news today the brand new AC DC video for "Rock 'n' Roll Train" can now be viewed while your work and it looks like you are still doing work!!!

The video has been redone as the world’s first music video in an Excel spreadsheet.

The video actually runs through Excel, and Brian Johnson is composed entirely of ampersands and asterisks.
