From this week my favorite pick is 'The Reader' starring Kate Winslet and Ralph Fiennes. The movie is set in post Nazi Germany where Kate Winslet, whose carachter is almost pushing 40, becomes caught up in an affair with a teenage boy.Just a heads up that for about the first 45 mins to an hour Kate Winslet is pretty much naked all the time. She is either taking her clothes off or putting them back on! (Not for the kids)
After that is outta the way the story takes a sharp turn and becomes even more intriguing... unfortunately I cannot tell you why, so as not to ruin the movie for you, but it will both shock and keep you wanting to know more.
With this movie my first thought was "...this is going to drag on..." but there aren't the looooong drawn out dialogue scenes that can really kill a movie like this. The scenes are usually very short and always changing. Just another way they keep you wanting to watch what happens next!

Definately not anywhere near as gory as those two movies and I am pretty sure there is no swearing in this one

The story of a hollywood movie deal going awry when the main actor is kidnapped!
The back of the DVD said it was going to be "Side-splittingly Funny" and it wasnt.
